Raising Blended Learners is a Texas-based statewide demonstration initiative showcasing strategies for using blended learning to improve student achievement across diverse student demographics and geographic regions.
Launched in Texas in 2015, Raising Blended Learners is projected to impact more than 900,000 students across the state by Spring 2024.
Raising Blended Learners (RBL) is a statewide demonstration initiative showcasing strategies for using blended learning to improve student achievement across diverse student demographics and geographic regions, particularly among schools and districts with persistent achievement gaps.
CA Group is partnered with Charles Butt Foundation on the RBL initiative and leads the design and strategic implementation support components of the program.
In the first fund, RBL directly impacted more than 600 teachers across 50 schools — reaching more than 35,000 students. The second fund, launched in 2021, is projected to reach more than 700 teachers across 70 schools, impacting more than 900,000 students enrolled in the 20 RBL Fund II districts.
One of the most unique aspects of RBL is the sheer scale of the initiative.
Analysis of RBL impacts has demonstrated significant improvements for students, teachers, and leaders. In the 2022–23 school year:
83%
of teachers have a stronger belief that all students can learn due to blended learning and 80% report improved content mastery compared to traditional classrooms.
87%
of educators report increased student engagement in blended learning classrooms.
82%
of teachers report confidence with blended learning implementation and 60% are more inclined to continue teaching as a result of program participation
89%
